(15/3/19)Hong Kong Trip!

Food Page 2

Hong Kong was a blast! It was good to get out of Singapore's humidity into a cooling environment and destress from hectic life. Not only was I able to experience Hong Kong and its Pokemon Competitive scene, I was also overwhelmed by food galore!

Here are some of them!

Tiger Sugar

Tiger Sugar

Tiger sugar is the current craze in Asia, so why not give it a try! The special ratio of brown sugar, fresh milk, and bubba makes this milk tea one of the best ones out there.

Sentient Dim Sum

Sentient Dim Sum

Around the halfway point of the trip, we(me, my mom, my sister and uncle) were finding a tea break stop. Enter Yum Cha, that sells 'sentient' dim sum! Each Dim Sum dish either represented animals or was entirely a normal piece of dim sum slapped with a pair of googly eyes.

Sentient Dim Sum
-"Eat me already!"

Though it can be said that looks can be deceiving, the dim sum was actually quite authentic to Hong Kong, keeping their original flavoured mark on each and every bite. Definitely recommended to those who like a fun touch to food and dim sum!

Bu Tao Ramen

Bu Tao Ramen

One of the best ramen ever served! The menu was consized and included dishes such as the black truffle ramen.(Which tasted great btw!)

Menu

The ramen I ordered was the original Bu Tao ramen(My uncle ate the black truffle one). The broth was a heavenly touch to the ramen served and the meat was also very tender such that it melted in my mouth.

Bowl o' Ramen

Overall, it was a very good bowl of ramen, and I really recommend it!

Some things extra! 1.Cream Soda!

Cream Soda
-Cream Soda

Every time I come to Hong Kong, I immediately buy this drink. Why? Cuz' its not available in Singapore! This drink is basically the Schweppes Cream Soda and its one of the better Cream sodas available! (Yes even better than whats available in Singapore). The drink has a very strong hint of vanilla ice cream and its as if I was eating ice cream!

Some things extra! 2. Tang Yuan!

Tang Yuan
-Peanut filled Tang Yuan

I'm not really a fan of sticky/soupy stuff in chinese cuisine. However, I do give some exceptions especially when they taste good! While my sister slept in the hotel, my mom and I went to find dessert and we stumbled across a random Tang Yuan shop. We sat down and we ordered our orders. I got the peanut filled one while my mom got the red bean one instead. As I ate my first ball, the peanut inside exploded with flavour as I sank my teeth in, giving the otherwise blend sticky outside a boost.

Conclusion:

If you are asking for the location for these and dim sum, well, its located anywhere that sells food in Hong Kong! Hong Kong cuisine never plays around with quality and thats why is one of the top countries for food!
